Petsmart Howl-o-ween Party
This year the party was on the weekend and in the middle of the afternoon. Kinda strange if you ask me but oh well. As usual my best gal pal Annie attended with me and brought along her human.
We both dressed as if we were in a rock band. Annie sporting her guitar and me on my cool sax! Annie's hair piece was a lovely red and I wore a hot pink bob (that's a hair style). Yes we rocked the place and were so stylish. I'm sure the other pups were envious but I couldn't tell as my wig kept falling down and obscuring my view.
I even played musical chairs with my humans' neighbor kid who also joined me on this auspicious event. We lost. You see the game required that I sit down quickly and as you know I'm a dignified lady and dignified ladies do not plop their butt down just because someone says to. No, we sit down gracefully. And that's apparently why we lost. *grin*
There were many dogs at the party, as usual, and many were dressed so nicely. I was a bit surprised to see that the winner of the costume contest wasn't even a dog though. That's right; the whole barnyard attended the event. The winner this year was a duck, yes like quack quack, dressed as a duck hunter. Even more surprising was the fact that the ducks, goose, cat and rat didn't seem at all bothered by all the dogs staring and drooling a bit.
I was smarter than most. I didn't get too interested in them. My human made a point to introduce me to a goose years ago and one nip on my nose put my predatory drive back in park.
We did come away with a goodie bag of treats, some of which my human has already let me eat. I wanted it all but she thinks I should space out the treats and savor them more. Whatever. Humans. Sheesh...
