Petsmart Howl-O-Ween Party

It has become quite the tradition around here. I get dressed up in a silly outfit, as done Annie and another poor defenseless pup my human can get her hands on and we go to the annual Petsmart Howl-o-ween party.

Normally I don't like getting dressed up but after seeing what other people did to their dogs this year I didn't feel so bad. Plus my costume wasn't too over the top. I know my human is already plotting and scheming for next year so that worries me a little but I'll take it all in stride as I always do.

This year I was an Angel Dog and Atlantis was a Devil Dog. Rather fitting I think. No Atlantis and I didn't win any prizes for our costumes; but after seeing the other dogs' outfits I don't mind. I did get some biscuits and a bag of goodies, as did Atlantis so I think we still made out like bandits.

Annie and Ryika dressed as a duo this year, and they were dreaded pirates indeed. Both had slight wardrobe malfunctions and kept slipping out of their costumes but when they were dressed they looked great. I'm just so glad I didn't have a belt and sword hanging from my hips. These humans really are crazy.

Speaking of crazy we also had a daddy mac pimp, a cheerleader hussy, a dog shaved down to look like the mythical pan creature, and something in a tutu. All of that explains any I didn't feel so bad about my costume. What about Atlantis you ask, well she was too busy being a hyper puppy to even notice how she was dressed. Ahh to be young and ignorant.

One game played was bobbing for biscuits. The human drops a tasty biscuit in a bowl of water and the dog fishes it out and eats it. Sounds simple enough, right? Well none of the first four contestants would put their faces in the water to get the treat, so I had to show them how this game was played. We were given to the count of ten to get the yummy; I had it about the time the human had counted to one. Ta-da!

For most of the games my human kept me back, it wouldn't be fair to the other dogs I guess. So we watched and my human chatted with other humans. The party itself didn't last too long, which was good, the crowd was almost too big to do much of anything. Nothing like a rowdy group of pups in costumes, eh?
