Home Depot Event
It was a little out of the ordinary but still fun. Heck anytime I get lots of lovin' and petting it's a great time.
Normally when we go to Home Depot it's all work and no fun. Either my human is actually shopping or she's training a puppy. In this case it was a day for fun and education for the public and their little ones. Nope not puppies, the human variety of little ones.
There were stations where the kids could build little wooden houses and a fire fighter crew was on hand to teach kids about fire safety. They let the kids discharge a few fire extinguishers, it was all very cool.
Then there were other vendors for food and other services, one of them was us. Brian came with Lexington; I escorted my human, her mom and Boca. We mostly watched as Brian did all the set-up and heavy lifting then we got to work. My human talked and I put on my cute puppy face and they flocked over to see us.
It did get hot so we three dogs and three humans rotated in and out. The humans gave us ice to chew on and we chilled out under the table whenever possible. I finally gave up waiting for the humans to dish out the ice so I finally flipped the cooler open and helped myself. Lex and Boca just stared in amazement at my audacity.
The even lasted a few hours then the humans again watched Brian do most the work to pack everything away. My human had a very impressive sunburn but that was ok, she had fun so the burn was well worth it. Both Boca and I napped quite awhile when we got home.
