This, That and Atlantis
Once again it's been too long since I posted on my blog. Things have been rather busy around here lately and it's hard to find any free time let alone get my human to stop working on the computer long enough for me to use it.
So let's do a quick re-cap. Christmas was fun. I got two huge bones and more biscuits. I didn't get to eat any of these goodies until recently because as you know Preston was visiting over Christmas. After the holidays the room mate moved out and now has a lovely apartment of her own and I do hope she's doing well and is happy. My human is a little slower about refilling my water bowl than she was but that's ok.
The night my human took Preston home she brought another dog back home with her. This time it was Atlantis or as my human tends to call her “Honey”. I must admit at first I couldn't get enough of this pup and we played until we dropped that night.
I had smelled her on my human many times before. She's been working with Atlantis pretty much weekly since she was born. We had even met face to face once before but it was very brief. Now we were living together for this trial run. By the second day I admit her constant licking of my face and bouncing was getting on my nerves a bit so I wasn't as friendly as the night before.
Atlantis has a secret weapon; she's cute, submissive and I tend to want to give her whatever she wants. My human was very surprised when I let Atlantis have some of my dog food and part of my chew bone. Granted I didn't let her have much but the fact that I was sharing my food was admittedly out of character for me.
Now if we can just get Atlantis to stop jumping on my human things would be great. My human doesn't like to admit it but she does have a few bruises on her legs from Atlantis using her as a spring board. She is hoping she can work with Atlantis to fix this problem soon and without being too impatient with her. She's a little worried about that.
Atlantis did go back home to the Arizona Goldens LLC after a week with us so my human could clean up the house and do a better job of puppy proofing – Atlantis gets in to more and can reach more stuff than Preston did. We are both looking forward to her return.
