Power Paws Walk'n Roll Dog Walk
Yesterday morning my human decided to get up very early in the morning. It was so early the sun wasn't even up yet. I could hardly hold my own head up I was so tired but being the good dog that I am I stuck by her and tried not to doze off while she was eating breakfast.
She kept telling me about all the fun we were going to have at the Power Paws dog walk and that Annie was coming too. It was too early so I didn't believe her. Humans are prone to moments of temporary insanity after all.
I tried to curl up on the sofa for a little extra beauty sleep when a car pulled in the drive. I was sent outside and forced to stand there as she let Annie and her human in the house. Finally Annie was released from her leash and I from my "stay". We ran and jumped and wrestled around the back yard while the humans did whatever it is humans do.
Then we were loaded up in to my humans van and hit the road. Ok so maybe it wasn't going to be a dull day after all.
When we arrived at our destination it was filled with humans and dogs for as far as the eye could see. I wanted to go sniff out a few studs, my human wanted to find the registration table. Guess who won.

After registration I wanted to go sniff out a few studs. The other human wanted to go to the bathroom. Why can't humans just pee on a tree like everyone I know? Guess who won.
Finally we mingle. Humans chat and we dogs sniff. It's wonderful. We started out on the 3 miles walk but the wind was too strong and cold for my human so we turned back and hit up the vendor tables. People petted me and told me how pretty I was everywhere we went.
The vendors gave us treats, snacks and all sorts of goodies as they visited with our humans. In fact we got so much stuff my human had to open the basket on the back of her scooter just to hold the overflow.
We met so many people; one even recognized my human from previous events and invited us to another event. We sat and watched a little of the Great Dane Drill Team perform their obedience demonstration but our humans were getting hungry and tired. They would have loved to eat at the event, last year the meal was included in the registration fee, but this year they wanted way too much money to eat so we left.
The humans picked up some hamburgers on the way back to my place and they ate while Annie and I ran amok in the back yard once again.
It was a blast!
